LECAD Novi Sad - Laboratory for automated design
LECAD Novi Sad was founded in April 2008, as a result of cooperation of University in Novi Sad and University in Ljubljana. Laboratory for automated design of the Faculty of technical sciences will be the basic unit in the framework of LECAD group. This laboratory was established as a result of intensive cooperation of the Chair for machine constructions, transporting systems and logistics with industry through the elaboration of a great number of projects, as a result of introduction of modern design methods in educational process and because of the necessity to echieve more effective participation of young researchers and scientists at the Faculty of technical sciences in the process of machine design and development. As a leader of LECAD - Novi Sad was named prof. dr Jovan Vladić.
Aims of Founding and Action of LECAD Novi Sad
Prerequisite conditions for market collaboration with economy in Vojvodina, Serbia and other countries, which are connected with service and professional support in the area of CAD/CAE techniques and PDM/PLM systems.
Prerequisite conditions for partner relationship between Faculty of technical sciences in Novi Sad and other faculties or institutions, as in Serbia so abroad, in area of collaborative projects, scientific and research work, studies etc.
Education in international environment with possibilities to use modern laboratories out of Serbia, modern equipment and to share the knowledge inside of LECAD Group and its net. Much easier PhD study on the international level (professors from abroad, for example Prof. Dr. Jože Duhovnik head of LECAD Group and some other guest professors from Slovenia and other EU countries. Development of design theory and design process. Following of modern trends in the area of CAD/CAE techniques and PDM/PLM systems at the Faculty of technical sciences in Novi Sad. Better conditions for knowledge transfer from LECAD Group and LECAD Net to students and also to experts from Serbian economy.
Programme of Activities of LECAD Novi Sad - Laboratory for automated design
LECAD- Novi Sad and Laboratory for automated design contribute to more effective monitoring of contemporary trends in the fields of CAD/CAE techniques, in the first place at the Department for Mechanization and construction engineering, but also at the whole Faculty of technical sciences in Novi Sad. Founding of LECAD- Novi Sad also contributes to the further development of scientific stuff at the University in Novi Sad through the possibility of the usage of modern laboratories of LECAD group out of Serbia.
Activities of LECAD - Novi Sad can be quoted as follows:
- Development and Machine design
- design process, computer graphics, geometrical design and technical drafting
- modeling and operation simulation through building of machine virtual prototypes
- application of numerical methods in solving technical problems - FEM analysis
- Research and new product development through the application of modern methods in cooperation with industry
- Further development of educational process through introduction of contemporary methods for development and design
- Enabling of young researchers and scientists (elaboration of master and doctor theses, research work in the framework of projects financed through state and international institutions etc.)
- Organization of seminars and courses
- modern methods of machine and equipment design,
- training in the usage of worlds leading programme systems
Projects
Projects in LECAD group and LECAD Novi Sad: Bilateral project “Integrated product development”, Serbian-Slovenia Technology Co-operation for years 2008-2009. Proposed TEMPUS project “Improving research and educational capabilities in customer driven innovative collaborative product development”.
Projects in LECAD Novi Sad - Laboratory for automated design, financed by Ministry of Science and Technological Development:
- Continual long-distant monitoring of vital exploitation parameters of field mobile machine supporting structures, relevant for the life-time estimation, as a factor of their reliability and preventive maintenance
- Development, design and optimization of supporting structure systems and design elements for preengineered industrial buildings
