LECAD Slavonski Brod - Laboratory for Product Development
Interest of LECAD Group to collaborate and cooperate with Croatian researchers and scientists and their enclosure into join projects, results in April 2005 with establishing the LECAD Slavonski Brod – Laboratory for Product Development. About this signed the Constitution Act between the University of Ljubljan and J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek. Head of LECAD Slavonski Brod is nominated Prof. Dr. Milan Kljajin.
Why LECAD Slavonski Brod - Laboratory for Product Development?
Product development has become more challenging than ever before.
The requirement to work closely across sites and divisions as well as with external suppliers has grown.
The time and budget allotted for implementing enterprise solutions has been cut.
The need for quality, innovation and rapid time to market is increasingly pressing.
Today’s dynamic supply chains, where members swap in and out according to business needs, now require a new generation of lightweight PDM/PLM (Product Data Management/Product Lifecycle Management) application.
Aims of Founding and Action of LECAD Slavonski Brod
Prerequisite conditions for market collaboration with economy in Slavonia, Croatia and other countries, which are connected with service and professional support in the area of CAD/CAE technique and PDM/PLM systems
Prerequisite conditions for partner relationship between Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod and other faculties or institutions, as in Croatia so abroad, in area of collaborative projects, scientific and research work, studies etc.
Education in a international environment with possibility to use modern laboratories out of Croatia, modern equipment and share of knowledge inside of LECAD Group and its net.
Much easier PhD study on the international level (professors from abroad, for example Prof. Dr. Jože Duhovnik head of LECAD Group and some other guest professors from Slovenia and other EU countries
Development of design theory and design process
Following of modern trends in the area of CAD/CAE technique and PDM/PLM systems at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod
The better condition for knowledge transfer from LECAD Group and LECAD Net to students and also to experts from Croatian economy
